Our master procedure

Made-to-measure clothing - how does it work?

Individual and sustainable. Traditional and handmade in Frankfurt. But how does it actually work? Using the example of the tailor-made suit, we explain the way to your desired garment step by step.

A suit from the Bennecker tailoring shop is made from scratch for you according to your measurements and wishes. We take your body measurements and create an individual pattern for your tailor-made suit, which is specially tailored to your body. The tailor-made suit is then sewn by hand by me and my hard-working helpers in Frankfurt am Main so that it fits perfectly and meets your wishes.

Initial

We meet in the studio and discuss model, fabric selection and individual wishes, take your measurements and make a sketch if necessary.

Manufacturing Phase 1

We create your personal pattern and cut the fabric accordingly. Then everything is prepared for the first fitting, which means that various elements are only provisionally sewn together for the time being in order to leave as many possibilities as possible for adaptation to fit and design still open.

First fitting

We meet a second time in the studio and you try on the suit. Many changes to the model and the details are still possible. Then we choose the lining and the buttons.

Production phase 2

We finish the tailor-made suit except for a few details such as shoulder width and sleeve and trouser length. Final adjustments can then be made here.

Second fitting

You try on the suit again and we make any final changes.

The suit is completed and the final touches are carried out.
